This month's meet-up was jam packed with content. Local developer and entrepreneur Andrew Moe demoed his NDSU Innovation Challenge project called Fargo Bird. He took the flappy bird gameplay formula, but put a unique spin on it; Andrew had a deck of cards with unique bird characters that all had RFID chips on them.
By scanning the card, players could collect and play with that new character in the game. Andrew is interested in the merging of the physical and digital realms when making games. Also, it was cool to see downtown Fargo rendered in pixel art form. Fargo Bird is currently available for Android on the Google Play Store.
After Andrew's demo, the meet-up broke into two smaller groups to discuss what they have currently been working on, and a debate on the current state of the game development industry.
We had a chance to see some conceptual pixel artwork, a clever game dealing with tax season, and a 3d modeling demo video as well.

Also of note, Davin Loegering is play testing his board game Imagine Majesty this June at the next board game night at Paradox, downtown Fargo. Be sure to check it out if you like high level board games!
Thanks to everyone that came out this month, hope to see you all next month.
